Requirements (200 Hrs Program)

Students are expected to meet the requirements to enroll for the course. To meet the criteria of Tirisula Yoga Teachers Training Academy, the points in "During and after the course" has to be fulfilled.

To join,

Students should have:

  • Keen interest and open minded

  • No major medical conditions

  • Minimum 6 months of regular practice

 

Anyone who is keen but do not fulfill the above, please email info@tirisulayoga.com to consult our Master Trainers.

 

During and After the Course

  • Punctuality and full attendance unless with valid reasons.

  • Pass all exams: Practical, teaching, theory and project. Minimum 60% in aggregate.

  • Submit project work by deadline set by our Tirisula Yoga Master Trainer

  • Self-practice

  • Good conduct, participation and good attitude towards learning

  • No smoking, No drinking of alcohol during the course

  • Shower and wear clean clothes for the course. Observe personal hygiene.

  • Complete Practicum of 20 hours after the course to obtain the Diploma


What to prepare for the course

  • Regular practice of Asanas

  • Read through the topics through internet and books:

    • Paths of Yoga

    • 8 limbs of Yoga

    • Patanjali Yoga Sutras

  • Read through the recommended books:

    • Light on Yoga by B.K.S. Iyengar

    • Asanas, Pranayama, Mudras by Swarmi Satyananda

  • Get some basic knowledge on anatomy and physiology: visit LINKS

  • Be open minded to different schools of yoga

 

What to bring

  • Yoga Mat

  • Water

  • Towel

  • Notebook and writing materials

  • Jacket or shawl

  • Change of clothes

  • Project work materials for intensive course students (Camera, scrap book, colour pens/lap top)
